Mayor's Holiday Newsletter

Hi Fountain!  I hope this message finds everyone doing very well and preparing for a wonderful holiday season! Fountain’s Christmas tree in front of City Hall is lit, the decorations are up, and we are excited to celebrate the season with you!  As we all gather with family and friends, we have much to reflect on this year. The holiday season is a time to give thanks, to celebrate with family and friends, and a time to make that extra effort to spread joy, kindness and peace throughout our community, remembering the things that are most important to us. I am so thankful to serve our All-America hometown, and proud of what we have accomplished this year. We are on track to accomplish 17 of our 30 Strategic Objectives in our 2022-2024 City Strategic Plan by the end of 2023, to include enhancements to our public safety capacities in the Police and Fire Departments, smart investments that have strengthened the city’s finances and pave the way for new city infrastructure and services, progress on plans to enhance our parks and open spaces and new projects to bring grocery and medical services to Fountain in the future. We will be posting a complete update on all our Strategic Plan Objectives in January, so we’ll let you know when that is up on our website and ready for your review!

In December, I would also encourage you all to participate in two more special events in Fountain, the “Miracle on Main St.” Christmas event hosted by the Fountain UP! Group on December 9th from 9am-12pm, as well as the Blue Santa charity event hosted by our Fountain Police Department accepting applications now through December 1st. Check our city Facebook Page and website for more information coming out about those events happening soon!

Again, please accept my sincerest wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Happiest New Year!
