Do you have unwanted trash and debris in your yard or home? Maybe it’s left over from one of our big hail storms, or maybe it’s just time to clean out your home of some undesirable items so you can prepare for the holidays. If you have any thing you’d like to get rid of, you’ll be happy to know that Fall Cleanup is here for the City of Fountain. You will be able to drop your items off at the dump, or our senior citizens will qualify for our Senior Citizen Curbside Service.

Fall Cleanup Dumpster Day is hosted at Waste Connections Landfill on Saturday October 13, 2018 from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. During this time residents may pay $10 for a standard pickup truck load (price may vary depending on load) to dump certain items at the landfill for their convenience. Please make sure your truck load is covered and be prepared to unload your items.  We will accept mattresses and box springs for an extra charge.

If you are a senior citizen, another option is the City of Fountain Senior Citizen Curbside Service. Our city’s streets department is pleased to help our Fountain senior citizens with curbside pickup of unwanted items. For this service you must be able to show proof of residency and age, and must register by October 10, 2018. Only registered Fountain senior citizens will be able to take advantage of this offer.

For the Senior Citizen Curbside Service, items will be scheduled for pickup on October 15th, 2018.  We ask that you do not put items out more than 24 hours before the scheduled day; any items left at or along the curbside which are not intended for removal by the city must be clearly marked. All items must be at the curbside by 7:00 am on the day you are scheduled for pickup, city crews will not pick up your items if they are left in your driveway, porch, or in your yard. For this service loads will be limited to one standard pickup truck amount.

For either service we do not accept paints, liquids, batteries, oil, electronics (TV, computers, laptops, VCR etc.), tires, refrigerators, air conditioners or freezers.

We hope this helps our citizens clean out some of their unwanted items and debris. For more information please call 719-322-2020.
