WELCOME TO THE OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL COURT
The Municipal Court handles violations of Fountain Municipal Code / Ordinances. Traffic and Criminal violations. The Fountain Police Department also writes citations into El Paso County Combine Courts. Carefully, review your ticket for the Court information. El Paso County Combined Courts are located at 270 S. Tejon, Colorado Springs, CO (719) 452-5000 or www.gofourth.org.
Fountain Municipal Court is located in City Hall at 116 South Main Street, in downtown Fountain; two blocks East of Santa Fe (Highway 85) at the Corner of Ohio and Main Street (location info and map). The Council Chambers, Municipal Court, Violations Bureau and Clerk of Court's office is on the 2nd floor, west wing of City Hall. The Court is closed on all federal and local holidays.

NEW: If you have received a Jury Duty Summons for Thursday, June 11, 2020, you DO NOT have to appear. That trial has been vacated. Thank you for your service!
Due to the current stay-at-home order issued by
the state, The Municipal Court is closed until further notice. During
this time, please do not attempt to visit City Hall or to contact city staff in
other departments as they will be unable to help you with your cases. The
Court Office is contacting those that have upcoming court appearances to go over
Plea Offers or to rescheduled Pre-Trials. Any calls with questions should

COURT CLERK'S OFFICE:
The Clerks office is open from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, closed on all Federal and local holidays.. The main Phone Number is (719) 382-5561. The Clerks office can explain how the court works, reschedule hearings, answer questions on Court procedure and take money for fines and costs. The Clerk's office cannot give legal advice, fill out forms or tell you what to say or write. A copy of all City of Fountain ordinances, the State of Colorado Model Traffic Code and a Schedule of Fines are located in the clerk's office and are available to the public.
TRAFFIC COURT SESSIONS:
Traffic Court is scheduled every Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. closed on all Federal and Local holidays. The City Prosecutor does offer plea agreements / point reductions. The plea agreement / point reduction is available on your scheduled Court date after 9:00 a.m. for your review. You may accept the plea offer or continue your case for further proceedings.
REGULAR COURT SESSIONS:
Municipal Court sessions are held on Thursdays except on Federal and Local holidays. Arraignments and Bond Appearances start at 5:00 p.m., Hearings start at 5:30 p.m., Pre-Trials start at 4:00 p.m., Court and Jury Trials start at 6:00 p.m.
