Fountain Community

Hey Fountain!  Well, the Fall season is finally here, and I hope you all are ready for the mild weather, beautiful colors and many community gatherings and events that begin this season.  September is always a “kick-off” to several events that the city enjoys either hosting or sponsoring, and I wanted to take a few minutes this month to share a few of these events with you!  So here we go:

September 19th Community Night in the Park:  A city hosted event for families at John Metcalfe Park, it includes games, kid's activities, free food and giveaways! It starts at 4pm.

October 13th Oh my Gourd & Nightmare on Main St. Dance:  hosted by Fountain Up! and co-sponsored by the city, this event features an AMAZING pumpkin carving on the front steps of City Hall, and then a dance in the courtyard in front of City Hall that evening at 5pm.

October 27th  Trunk or Treat:  A city hosted event along Main St. at City Hall.  Beginning at 5pm, bring your kids in their costumes to enjoy some fun Halloween displays and plenty of candy for all!

November 11thVeterans Day Ceremony:  Beginning at 11am, and hosted at our own American Legion, with support from the VFW and the city, come celebrate those who have served and sacrificed for our great nation.

November 17th:   Christmas Tree Lighting:   Hosted by the city, officially ring in the holiday season in front of City Hall at 6pm and join us in lighting the city Christmas tree and visiting with Santa!

As you can see, while these events are themed to match the season and holidays, they also have one common thread:  COMMUNITY, which is the very fabric of Fountain, and we pride ourselves on being an All-America city with a sense of hometown for our wonderfully diverse city.

I look forward to seeing you all at these events and celebrating together the best of Fountain!
