Happy Spring! It is always great to be able to enjoy more time outside with longer days and beginning to think and dream about what to plant and planning summer fun.

You may have seen one of our newest four-legged Fountain Police Department officers, Hulk, around town. If you haven’t yet, be sure to give him a big hug when you spot him! Officer Hulk is very popular with people of all ages! I hope you have also heard about our Fountain Police Department’s Behavioral Health Connect Unit (BHCON). BHCON partners a Fountain police officer and social worker who work together to ensure that citizens facing mental health crises receive the best and most appropriate care. These two Fountain programs directly support the new Strategic Plan that was recently adopted by the Council, specifically contributing to one of Fountain’s Strategic Priorities:

Strategic Priority: Ensure highly professional, responsive and community focused public safety resources, that provide reliable access to public safety services throughout the city’s jurisdiction.

P.S. Officer Hulk may just be the cutest police officer in Colorado, if not the whole country!
