BNSF Railroad Maintenance Updates
BNSF is scheduled to perform maintenance on their railroad crossings in Fountain. They are starting in the south at Old Pueblo Rd and working their way north. The city does not have any control over the BNSF project, we can only anticipate and be prepared for the upcoming maintenance.

Duckwood Crossing - OPEN
BNSF has advised the city that they have finished maintenance on all crossings in the Fountain area. This information is subject to change, the city is doing its best to communicate as quickly as possible when BNSF updates us.
The BNSF project is approximated to start in Fountain on December 2nd. With unforeseen weather and maintenance conditions these dates are not absolute. If you have any questions, please contact the railroad at 1-800-832-5452 or visit BNSF.com
Below you can find a map that shows where BNSF is currently conducting maintenance. We ask that you plan ahead and expect delays as traffic patterns will change depending on which railroad crossing BNSF is currently operating at.
Fountain is dedicated to giving the most up to date and timely information in an attempt to lessen the burden of traffic we're all going to experience. We ask that you please be patient and understand that we are in this together.
Travel Suggestions
Starting as soon as Monday, December 2nd, 2024, Indiana Ave and Ohio Ave crossings might be closed, you can use
the Comanche Village Dr crossing or Duckwood Rd crossing to get to Highway
85-87.
If you are traveling North, consider taking Powers Blvd or
Marksheffel Rd.
If you are traveling South, consider taking Old Pueblo Rd.
