BUILDING MAINTENANCE

Building maintenance supports all facilities throughout the City including Park structures such as the pavilions, bathrooms and the Skateboard Park.

FLEET MAINTENANCE

The Fleet Maintenance Department provides maintenance for all City vehicles and equipment. The Fleet Maintenance Department has five (5) full-time employees who take care of all maintenance and repairs on the following:

Thirty-One (31) police cars;
Eighteen (18) fire vehicles and equipment;
Twenty-Seven (27) street vehicles and equipment;
Twenty-Two (22) water vehicles and equipment;
Sixty-One (61) electric vehicle and equipment;
Eleven (11) housing authority vehicles and equipment; and,
Five (5) administration vehicles.

In addition, the Fleet Maintenance Department maintains and repairs non-vehicles equipment (i.e., lawn mowers, fire pumps, weed eaters, etc.) on all City equipment. This department also manages all required vehicle permits and maintenance schedules for equipment.

The Fleet Maintenance Department also provides welding services for internal City use. Welding services include oxygen-acetylene, MIG, TIG, Arc, and plasma welding.
